Art Director, Choreographer
Anna Sullivan is the Artistic Director and Choreographer of the multi-media dance theater project, Anna and The Annadroids. Sullivan is originally from Columbus, Ohio and received a Bachelors of Specialized Studies in Choreography, Performance, and Cultural Anthropology from Ohio University in 2003. In 2004 Anna started a dance project called Anatomical Scenario and out of this project her signature characters Anna and The Annadroids were born. Between 2005 and 2011 Anna produced eleven evening length dance concerts, created work for countless special events, had her work presented at the New York International Fringe Festival three times, received multiple project grants from the Greater Columbus Arts Council and Ohio Arts Council, and in 2008 received the Greater Columbus Arts Councils Artistic Excellence Award of $10,000 for her production The Clone Zone.
Since moving to San Francisco in 2011 Anna has fully submerged herself into the local dance scene and feels very fortunate to have found an amazing cast of dedicated dancers as well as local support through The Zellerbach Foundation, The Fleishhacker Foundation, Theater Bay Area CA$H Grants, Dance Mission, and SafeHouse Productions. In 2013 Anna was nominated Choreographer of the Year by Bay Area Dance Watch.
Anna’s current multimedia production, Faux(pas)bia, will be presented at the Joe Goode Annex, in late February 2017, as part of the Noisepop Festival. This performance will stand as the album release event of her soundtrack album, Faux(pas)bia.
Anna is also very much involved with the wellness community. She is both a certified yoga and Pilates Instructor and is currently finishing up her certification as a Holistic Nutrition Consultant at Bauman College in Berkeley, CA.
Technical Director / Multimedia Artist
Alexi is a multimedia artist, animator, and producer who worked on the visuals and technical execution of the Annadroid's 2016 production “Faux(pas)bia”. He has taken on the role of technical director and also composed the original music for the Annadroid's recent production.

Rehersal Director, Dancer / Aerialist
Carlyn Pitterle (dancer) recently relocated to San Francisco after graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2011. There she received scholarships to study abroad in Sao Paolo, Brazil as well as at Taiwan National University of the Arts in Taipei. At UW she received a grant to research improvisation in the Bay Area, creating a piece in collaboration with Kathleen Hermesdorf that was selected for presentation in the Undergraduate Symposium at UW as well as for performance in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Other choreographic works of hers were selected for both the informal and adjudication concerts in the American College Dance Festival, leading to her receiving the Outstanding Choreographic Achievement award at Madison. Her love of performance originates from a dedicated career both teaching with the Trinity Academy of Irish Dance and touring with the Trinity Irish Dance Company. Carlyn is thrilled to further pursue this passion, and the tradition of wearing a wig, as an Annadroid! This is Carlyn’s third season with Anna and The Annadroids
Dancer / Aerialist
Ildiko Polony (dancer) was born in Oakland, CA and received her early training at the Oakland Ballet Academy. On graduating high school she moved to New York City and enrolled at the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center. In 2003-2004 she lived in Havana, Cuba and trained at the Instituto Superior del Arte as well as Ballet Nacional de Cuba. She has performed with Oakland Ballet, Peninsula Ballet Theater, Theater Rhinocerous, El Teatro de Danza Contemporanea, Samantha Giron Dance Project, Palanza Dance Comapny, Paco Gomes and Dancers, Janice Garrett and Charles Moulton and Courage Group. This is her third season as an Annadroid. She finds it fun, fulfilling, challenging and personally relevant. Ildiko recently graduated from University of California, Berkeley with a BS in Conservation and Resource Studies.This is Ildiko’s third season with Anna and The Annadroids.
Dancer / Aerialist
Lindsay has studied dance, aerial, yoga, and Pilates from coast to coast and is an internationally recognized performance artist. Hailing from Tampa, FL, she recently relocated to the Bay Area to teach kids circus camps during the summer of 2015. She has her BFA in dance from Ohio University and holds a 200 hour yoga certification. Her love of aerial arts started while she was attending performing arts high school with the trapeze and eventually grew to incorporate other circus arts such as hula hooping and stilt walking. She now specializes in lyra and silks, and has trained in Florida, Ohio, Michigan, the Dominican Republic, and California. She has been performing with Anna and the Annadroids for 6 years as a specialty artist. Most recently, she performed with The Vampire Circus at the Hard Rock Hotel in Panama City, Panama and is excited to continue sharing her love of movement in the Bay Area.
Jenna received her MFA in Dance with an emphasis in performance and choreography at Mills College in 2014, where she also received the E. L. Wiegand Foundation Dance Innovator Award. Prior to getting her Master's degree, she received dance training at University of San Francisco and UC Santa Cruz. With eight years of teaching experience, Jenna continues to teach a variety of styles in Marin County. She has performed works by Janice Garrett and Charles Moulton, Sonya Delwaide-Nichols, Molissa Fenley, Yukie Fujimoto, Wanjiru Kamuyu, Sharonjean Leeds, and Wax Poets, among others. She is also trained in STOTT Pilates®. Jenna is excited to be an Annadroid for her first season!
Mallory LaBro is a San Francisco native with a passion for dance. She holds her BFA in Dance from San Jose State University and has had the opportunity to dance with choreographers such as, Janice Garrett, Holly Johnston, and Brenda Way. She began dancing for Anna and The Annadroids in 2015 as an apprentice and is now in her second season as a company member.
Elizabeth Racely was born and raised near Seattle, Washington. Her early training in classical ballet, violin, singing, and poetry provided the groundwork for a love of art and performance. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in dance from Western Washington University, where she spent one year on exchange to the Five-College Consortium in Massachusetts. Before relocating to San Francisco, in Seattle she performed nightly as a server, singer, and dancer at the circus with Teatro ZinZanni's, and as Diana Morales in A Chorus Line. Liz is more than excited to join the Annadroid world, where movement, multi-media, and wigs are the celebrated norm.
